BERN ELLIOTT & The FENMEN - 'Money' + 'Nobody But Me' - 1963
Erith (locally pronounced 'ear-riff'), N.W. Kent combo who spent two years shaking the clubs in Hamburg before signing to Decca, like their neighbours down the road, the Rolling Stones. Guitarist Wally Allan & drummer John Povey went on to join another local band, The Pretty Things. Beat-standard 'Money' was their first 45, backed by a wild version of the Isley Brothers' song 'Nobody But Me'. UK charts #14
