Nearly 20 years ago, rumor has it that she had AIDS, everybody knew someone who knew some doctor, some nurse, some paramedic that saw her dying in some hospital. One day, a good friend of mine called me, crying, upset, to tell me she was dead. Even the press announced it. Eventually, Adjani had to come live (and alive!) on the most-watched news program, to kill the rumor and reassure her family, her friends and 'worshipers'. And even so, as she put her hand on her cheek, some people said she wanted to hide some kind of Kaposi's sarkoma...
