Anne Heche's divorce gets messy

Hello, I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update on this Friday, May 18, 2007.

Actress Anne Heche's divorce is reportedly getting messy. E! Online says her ex Coley Laffoon is doubting her ability as a parent and is asking she get a psychological evaluation. According to legal papers, Laffoon is seeking full custody of their 5 year old son Homer. He's also asking for 33,000 dollars a month in child support. Heche says he's lying to the court because she didn't agree on his original request for more money. The couple split in February after a 5 year marriage.

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has dropped her appeal on her recent jail sentence. A court spokeswoman says Hilton's lawyer notified the Los Angeles court that she's no longer fighting the jail time. The 26 year old filed an appeal after a California court ordered her to spend 45 days behind bars. That sentence is for violating her probation in a reckless driving case. Her time is expected to be reduced to 23 days for good behavior. She has until June 5th to turn herself in and serve her time.

One of Sandra Bullock's fans has been charged with assault and stalking. The woman facing the charges tried to hit Bullock's husband Jesse James with her car last month. She's expected to appear in court next week for her arraignment. If convicted, she could face 4 years and 8 months in jail. Last week the actress got a 3 year restraining order on the woman. Bullock says she had been trespassing at their southern California home for several months.

Actors Robert De Niro and Al Pacino will reunite for a new film. The two will star in an upcoming independent film "Righteous Kill." It's the first time the two will co-star on the big screen since the 1995 thriller "Heat." In this new film, De Niro and Pacino will play two cops searching for a serial killer.

Madonna's new song "Hey You" is bringing in money for the environment. The first million downloads of the release on Microsoft's homepage will go to the Alliance for Climate Protection. The song was reportedly written for the upcoming Live Earth concerts...which will attempt to spread awareness about the climate crisis. Madonna will perform the song at the show in London. The concert series is being organized by former Vice President Al Gore and will take place July 7 in seven different locations around the world.

That's all for now, thanks for watching today's entertainment update.
