On connait la chanson trailer

Pick some of the best French actors (like Pierre Arditi, Sabine Azema, Andre Dussolier); a great script written by the brilliant couple of actors- screenplayers Agnes Jaoui and Jean Pierre Bacri; some of the most memorable French songs performed by the cast; the direction of one of the Nouvelle Vague creators, Alain Resnais: you'll have a surprising, exhilarating and nuanced comedy like On connaît la chanson (1997). The trailer doesn't reveal much, but it's a great appetizer (directed by Jaoui).
